How do I take care of a cat?

Hi. I really badly want a kitten, but none of my family members knows how to take care of one. If you could tell me as much tips and things on how to take care of them that would be great! Thanks! Also, I don't know how to answer other peoples questions in the category I know about. Will you please tell me how, so I get get points to ask more questions with? Thanks again!! Lexie

1. You need to search the internet and read lots of stuff about cat care. I have been reading about cats for 3 years and know a lot about them, it will have to take you to read about it, not people on here. Like food wise, shop online on Petco for stuff to buy it, all it needs. Do not get plastic food bowls, kittens eat a couple times a day, cats eat less, find out where to get one. There is so much to learn. They are nocturnal, so they will keep you up at night to play. They sleep 18 hours a day. Play with the kitten before you go to bed to run out its energy. You just need to read, I could go on for days.
2. wELL MY FRIEND GOT A CAT and i come over to see what they do with it. they cut her nail if they are too long,they feed her give water(cats cant drink milk)they gave her litter box to poo and pee in it.and bought her alot of stuff to play with.U dont have to eash a cat.It cleans by itself,well u can wash it when it falls into mud or something worse.They also visit vet to give the cat medecine...........idk oh also u cant brush a kitten cause i heard that their skin is too soft and gentel so u would have to wait till its kinda idk 5-6 months?
3. i own cats, and always have since i was small. they are fairly easy to take care of because they are VERY independent animals. make sure they have a clean litter box, and sift it out every day, feed and keep a bowl of water for them to drink out of. vet visits of course for their shots to keep them healthy. cats love to play with toys like strings and balls, and love interaction with people. if you spoil a cat with lots of attention when they are small they will grow up to LOVE you...they will sit on your lap and purr and be a happy baby!! i really dont believe in letting cats outside, because they can get hurt or killed by dogs, or hit by cars. also, please dont declaw because when you remove the kitties claws, they have no way to protect themselves, and also will be in pain for the rest of their lives because the claws have nerves in them ....and when you wanna answer someones question, just hit the answer button, and it will take you to the reply section, its very easy!! type in your answer, hit preview, then send and its done!! good luck !!
4. Cats are very easy to care for. Make sure you get them spayed/Nuetered so that you do not end up with even more, though. Get their shots, feed them, give them water, toys, and lots of love. Cats are very social and love attention. They are very easy to litter train, too, when they are kittens anyway. whenever they use the bathroom, instead of throwing it away, put it in a litter box and make sure they know it is there, they catch on very easily-way easier than dogs.
5. well when you get a KITTEN get kitten food any brand will do. and of course feed and water it everyday. they like fresh food so dont just put a big pile a food in the bowl and expect them to eat from it day after day. just put a little at a time. and when you try to teach it to use the litter box just put it in a private spot they dont like to be looked at while doing thier business and when you try to teach it just keep putting the kitten in the litter box until he starts to scratch the litter. and if you dont want to do this then just put him in the litter box after he eats and after he wakes up. well i hope these tips help you. good luck on your new kitten. :)

7. There are tons of books out there =) But basically you just put some food in a bowl play with it a little and change the cat box lol! They are so easy =) To answer questions you just click on one and then read the full question and then click answer
