Can the smell of cat piss cause health problems?

If you walk into an apartment and can smell the cat urine and it is very strong, can living in this environment cause health problems? AKA Kidney problems, stomach aches, head aches things of this nature. Would a person with a week immune system have more problems?

1. just the odor, no. but if theres actually cat piss, have the carpets cleaned.
2. its a smell similar to Ammonia, it can cause headaches, stomach discomfort, and nausea. Continued exposure to such nasty conditions can lead to bacterial infections and ringworm.
3. other then throwing up, the smell could cause allergy problem, depends on what the cat is eating and drinking
4. If your not use to the smell you may get a headache from it but other than that I wouldn't worry. I have 4 cats for the last 16 years, my hubby and I are just fine. But we keep up with the kitty box and kitty accidents so it doesn't smell. But you have nothing to worry about. Way back when in egyptian time they use to wash their face in cat pee to help get rid of thier acne...ewwwwwww
